Direct debit is the most popular way to pay. It is simple and easy to set up, and you can choose from a selection of payment dates and payment frequencies which are designed to fit in which your personal financial circumstances. Council Tax

• over 10 months on the 1st or 5th or 15th or 25th, April to January;
• over 12 months on the 1st or 5th or 15th or 25th, April to March;
• weekly, on each Friday;
• fortnightly, on alternating Thursdays;
• quarterly, on 30 May; 30 August, 30 November and 28 February;
• six-monthly, on 30 May and 30 November;
• annually, on 30 June.

If your instalment date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday, it will be collected on the next available banking day.
